Tired with all these, for restful death...
Language: English
Available translation(s): ITA
Tired with all these, for restful death I cry,
As, to behold desert a beggar born,
And needy nothing trimm'd in jollity,
And purest faith unhappilly forsworn,
And gilded honour shamefully misplaced,
[And maiden virtue rudely strumpeted]1
And right perfection wrongfully disgraced,
And strength by limping sway disabled,
And art made tongue-tied by authority,
And folly, doctor-like, controlling skill,
And simple truth miscalled simplicity,
And captive good attending captain ill:
  [Tired with all these, from these would I be gone,
  Save that, to die, I leave my love alone.]2

Sonet 66
Language: Czech (Čeština)  after the English
Znaven vším tím po smrti volám tiché —
než zírat, jak se žebrák rodí v svět
a nuzné nic se v cetky šatí liché
a čistá věrnost nevěře jde v sled
a zlatá hodnost bídáka jak zdobí
a dívčí čest šlapána v prach a v nic
a dokonalost ve spárech je zloby
a síla od zbabělství bita v líc;
a uměnu jak úřad umlčuje
a umem (jako lékař) vládne bloud
a prostá opravdovost hlupstvím sluje;
jak do ďáblových bůh je zjímán pout:
    znaven vším tím bych odešel už rád —
    jen s láskou mou mi žel se rozžehnat.
