Hanne
 Am Rebenstocke blinket jetzt
 die helle Traub' in vollem Safte,
 und ruft dem Winzer freundlich zu,
 daß er zu lesen sie nicht weile.

Simon
 Schon werden Kuf' und Faß
 zum Hügel hingebracht;
 und aus den Hütten strömet
 zum frohen Tagewerke
 das munt're Volk herbei.

Hanne
 Seht, wie den Berg hinan
 von Menschen alles wimmelt!
 Hört, wie der Freudenton
 von jeder Seit' erschallet!

Lukas
 Die Arbeit fördert lachender Scherz
 vom Morgen bis zum Abend hin;
 und dann erhebt der brausende Most
 die Fröhlichkeit zum Lustgeschrei.

Sur le cep de vigne brille maintenant
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Anne
 Sur le cep de vigne brille maintenant
 Les grappes claires pleines de jus,
 Et appellent aimablement le vigneron
 Pour qu'il ne tarde pas à le cueillir.

Simon
 Déjà les cuves et les tonneaux
 Sont apportés sur la colline ;
 Et hors des chaumières sort
 Pour la tâche joyeuse
 La foule allègre.

Anne
 Regardez, comment la montagne
 Grouille partout d'hommes !
 Écoutez, comment des cris de joie
 Retentissent de tout côté.

Lucas
 Le travail encourage les plaisanteries et les rires
 Du matin jusqu'au soir,
 Et alors le moût pétillant transforme
 La gaîté en cris de joie.
