από την Aλεξάνδρειαν έπλευσα εν τριήρει πορφυρά.—
Ιδού το άγαλμα. Εν εκστάσει βλέπω νυν
του Ενδυμίωνος την φημισμένην καλλονήν.
Ιάσμων κάνιστρα κενούν οι δούλοι μου. κ’ ευοίωνοι
επευφημίαι εξύπνησαν αρχαίων χρόνων ηδονήν.
