Language: German (Deutsch)
Gott, hilf! Gott, hilf!
im Wasser wächst das Schilf:
und ich, ich wuchs in Thränen auf,
o nimm mich, Herr, zu dir hinauf
o hilf!
im Wasser wächst das Schilf!

Gott, hilf! Gott, hilf!
jed' Lüftchen beugt das Schilf:
Ach, Wind und Wetter beugt mich, ach,
hab' wie das Schilf kein schützend Dach
o hilf!
jed' Lüftchen beugt das Schilf!
Gott hilf!
