Op my ou ramkiekie
Language: Afrikaans
Our translations:  ENG

dan speel ek kordaat voort in my skik

Wat gee ek om mense wat sê ek's mal
as die varings my aanhoor by die wal?

On my old guitar
Language: English  after the Afrikaans
On my old guitar with just one string
I play randomly in the moonlight

When the moon is listening to me and the stars nod
then I play further selfassured and happily

What do I care if people say I'm crazy
when the ferns by the waterside listen to me?

What about my friends who never understand
when the stars nod approvingly, and the moon?

On my old guitar with just one string
I play randomly in the moonlight
