Segelfahrt
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FIN
Wie bist du weich und wunderhold,
du Tröster aller Sorgen,
in deinem Kleid von Sonnengold,
du lichter Sommermorgen!

Ich hiß das Segel auf dem Boot
und steure allerwegen
schlaftrunken in das Morgenrot,
dem Ostenwind entgegen.

Der Mastbaum knarrt, der Bug versinkt
in schäumend grüne Wogen,
vom Eiland, das mir luvwärts winkt,
kommt Tannenduft entgegen.

Ich grüß dich, du Wellendrang,
du Freiheit sonder Regeln!
Oh, könnte ich mein Leben lang
nur segeln, segeln, segeln!

Purjehdus
Language: Finnish (Suomi)  after the German (Deutsch)
Miten hellä ja ihmeellisen suloinen
sinä kaikkien surujen lohduttaja oletkaan
auringonkultaamassa puvussasi,
sinä kirkas kesäaamu!

Minä nostan veneeni purjeen
ja vailla päämäärää ohjaan
kuin unessa kohti aamuruskoa,
itätuulta vastaan.

Masto narahtelee, keula uppoaa
vihreinä kuohuviin aaltoihin,
saarelta, joka vilahtelee tuulen puolelta,
kantautuu minua vastaan kuusentuoksua.

Tervehdin sinua, myrskyisä aallokko,
olet vapautta ilman kahlitsevia sääntöjä!
Voi kunpa voisin koko elämäni ajan
vain purjehtia, purjehtia, purjehtia!
