Dein Bild geht mit mir überall,
Es flistert mir so süße Klänge

Es wiederholt, was Du gesprochen:
Daß Deine Seele mich erwählt,
Ich kann es Dir nicht wiedersagen
Was mir Dein liebes Bild erzählt.
So treu bewahr ich das Geheimniß,
Das unsre Herzen eng verflicht,
Daß ich dir selbst nicht anvertraue,
Was mir Dein Bild sagt und verspricht.
Dein Bild das nur in meinem Innern
Wie eine schöne Sage lebt,
So daß ein Zaubertraum mich dünket
Das süße Glück, das ich erstrebt.
