by Katri Vala (1901 - 1944)

Keltainen nocturne
Language: Finnish (Suomi)
Kuu liukuu esiin
kuin valaistu laiva
kultaisin, käyrin keuloin.

Kauan sitten
tulit luokseni surullisena
ja pyysit sydäntäni.

Nyt se on käsissäsi,
pieni sydämeni.
Mutta kuinka julmat
ovat suuret, kauniit kätesi!
Nostan kuolevat käteni kohti kuuta,
joka liukuu ohi kuin valaistu laiva.

Sinä olit unohtanut antaa sydämesi minulle.
