Autour de la maison dormante, le jardin
Rit de toutes ses fleurs... Une rose, soudain,
Comme une bouche heureuse à mes yeux s'est ouverte...
C'est l'heure humide encore où la feuille est plus verte:
Les branches de lillas frissonnent au soleil,
Et les oiseaux, frileux encore du réveil,
Se gonflent en chantant à la chaleur première...
Et voilà que tu viens à moi dans la lumière
Avec tes longs cheveux dénoués de la nuit
Ton ombre autour de toi  sur le gazon te suit
Et pendant que tu vas, nonchalante et subperbe
On dirait qu’elle danse aux pointes des brins d’herbe
