Ein ungereimtes Lied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Kein Liedchen mehr!
Aber Küsse, Küsse!
Und Herz an Herz,
und schwimmende Blicke,
Und Thränen d'rinn!
Und Thränen so selig,
Und Seufzer dazu,
Und Seufzer so süß!

Und wer sie sucht, -
Und will nicht plaudern -
Am Erlenbach,
Wo die Blümlein stehn,
Die kleinen, die blauen,
Und unter der Linde
Im Mühlengarten:
Da wird er sie finden,
Da wehen sie hin
Und wehen sie her,
Im Abendwind,
Im Sternenschimmer!

Ach, wer sie hörte,
Und recht verstände,
Und wieder sänge
In Vers und Reim:
Die Lieder dort!

Confirmed with Der Gesellschafter oder Blätter für Geist und Herz. Herausgegeben von F. W. Gubitz. Zweiter Jahrgang. Berlin, 1818. In der Maurerschen Buchhandlung. Sonnabend den 30.
