Lilas blancs

Dans un tout petit vase frêle
Se meurt un brin de lilas blanc ;
Son parfum mourant se révèle
Encor plus doux et plus troublant.
Et les fleurs tombent de la tige
Une à une, trop vite, hélas !
Bientôt sur le brin de lilas
Il n'en est plus aucun vestige.
Ton âme est ce troublant parfum,
Ce lilas mon rêve défunt,
Et les fleurs qui de ce brin frêle
Tombent en perdant leur fraicheur,
Ce sont les fleurs d'amour,
O belle ! qui se détachent de ton cœur.
