Renonce
Language: French (Français)  after the Persian (Farsi)
Renonce,
renonce à tout
dans ce monde:
fortune, pouvoir, honneurs.
Ecarte tes pas
de tout chemin
qui ne te conduira pas
à la taverne.
Ne demande rien,
rien ne désire -
hormis du vin, des chansons,
de la musique, de l'amour!
Noble et beau jeune homme,
saisis l'outre,
empoigne la coupe.
Bois!
Mais, prends garde!
Ne sois pas frivole,
tâche de ne point parler
à tort et à travers...
Bois du vin doré!
il est pour l'esprit le seul repos,
baume incomparable
pour le coeur blessé.
Si tu te vois partout traqué
par la meute des chagrins,
Si tu te sens près d'être englouti
par le déluge des tristesses,
accroche-toi sans peur
au délicieux vin doré.
C'est la seule manière
de te sauver.
