by Hugo Reepen
Translation Singable translation by Pavel Ludikar (1882 - 1970)

Sonnenuntergang
Language: German (Deutsch)
Nun ist die Sonne gesunken
hinab so schlummertrunken
ins tiefe, dunkle Meer,
und auf den stillen Fluten
hinschimmerten letzte Gluten,
als ob's ein Nachtgruß wär'.

Nur noch die Wolken glühen,
als wie die Rosen blühen,
in roter Flammenpracht.
So glüht auch mir im Herzen
das Glück, das ich mit Schmerzen
erst jüngst zur Ruh' gebracht.

Již slunce k spánku se sklání
Language: Czech (Čeština)  after the German (Deutsch)
Již slunce k spánku se sklání,
nad šírou moře plání,
tam v temnu splývá s ní.
Červánků záblesk rdí se,
a na vlnách tam chví se
jak pozdrav poslední.

Červánků záře hasne
jak vadnou růže krásné
v nich ž rudý plamen plál.
Tak v hloubi srdce září
to štěstí, jež mně na vždy,
mně na vždy zašlo v dál.
