Abendlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Stern des Abends, meine Sonne,
du erheiterst meinen Blick,
bringest mir des Friedens Wonne,
bringest mir vergang'nes Glück!

Nun es still in allen Zweigen,
nun es traulich um mich ist,
fühl' ich meine Wünsche schweigen,
und der Born des Friedens fließt.

Aus des Himmels tiefer Bläue
labet mich dein gold'ner Schein;
wer bewähret gleiche Treue,
wer ist mild wie du und rein?

Du verschmähst es nicht, zu blinken
in das dürftige Gemach;
deinem Gruße, deinem Winken
folgen Mondesstrahlen nach.

Wie es still in allen Zweigen
und so traulich um mich ist!
Denn des Tages Sorgen schweigen,
und der Born des Friedens fließt.
