by Armand Silvestre (1837 - 1901)

Ta bouche a des saveurs de mûre
Language: French (Français)
Ta bouche a des saveurs de mûre
L'âpre goût des fruits du chemin
Vers qui le passant tend la main
Avant que la vigne soit mûre.

Qui se saoule de ce butin
Tremblera bientôt sous les fièvres :
Sa pourpre amère laisse aux lèvres
Une soif que plus rien n'éteint.

La soif qui me brûle est pareille,
Et, l'ayant prise à ton baiser,
Fou ! je cherche pour l'apaiser
Ta bouche sauvage et vermeille !

Confirmed with La Chanson des Heures. Poésies nouvelles (1874-1878), Paris, G. Charpentier, 1878, page 116.
