Die Linde
Language: German (Deutsch)
Hoch in der Linde drüben
Ein Vöglein wohnte lang;
Ich tat es herzlich lieben,
Gern lauschen seinem Sang.
Wo ist mein Sänger blieben?
[Ach]1, schweigt ja schon so lang.
Er sang von Lenz und Lieben;
Drüben
Ist alles stumm und bang.

Die Linde seh ich stehen
So traurig dunkelgrün.
Die Blumen all vergehen
Und wollen nicht mehr blüh'n.
Ich hab' ihn oft gesehen,
Nun ist er hin, ist hin;
Die Winde schaurig wehen,
Gehen
Und seufzen all' um ihn.
