by Julius Gersdorff (1849 - 1907)

Die Amsel singt
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Amsel singt, die Blüten duften,
der Frühling webt in Flur und Feld;
o nun hinaus mit frohen Klängen
in Gottes schöne Wunderwelt!

Gott grüß' im Wald dich, munt're Quelle,
du rieselst plaudernd ohne Ruh';
o rausche mir die alten Sagen
und liebvertraute Märchen zu!

Die will dem Maienwind ich geben
mit meinen Segenswünschen heiß;
der trägt sie wohl zu einem Kinde,
das von dem Frühling noch nicht weiß.
