by Karl Friedrich Henckell (1864 - 1929)

Melodien klingen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Melodien klingen
an mein lauschend Ohr,
und auf Traumesschwingen
schwebt mein Geist empor.
Düst're Töne,
wildes Lied, aus Qual geboren,
deiner kunstverklärten Schöne
folgt mein Sinnen, weltverloren.

Melodien, rauscht und
nehmt mich ganz dahin!
Aus dem Engen fliehen
will auf euch mein Sinn.
Gute Geister
seh' ich eurem Meer entquellen,
meiner Schmerzen werdet Meister,
spült sie fort in euren Wellen!
