κι από το Μεσαίωνα
ήρθεν εδώ ο Ιμπέριος
κ’ ήρθεν η Μαργαρώνα.

Ο ιππότης ο ανυπόταχτος
κ’ η ωραία η πριγκηπέσσα
μου χτύπησαν την πόρτα μου
και τους έμπασα μέσα.

Και να λένε τους έμαθα
– λόγια πύρινα πόσα! –
της αγάπης τα βάσανα
στη δική μου τη γλώσσα!

Margaron also graced these stages.

The unruly knight,
And the lovely princess fair,
They knocked upon my door,
And I ushered them in with care.
