Ossians Sang til Aftenstjernen
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Our translations:  GER
Yndigt er dit Lys, o Aftenstjerne!
Klart i Vesten, i det dunkle Fjerne,
Strider frem Du fra din røde Sky.
Statelig Du over Bjerget svæver;
Vindens sidste Pust på Søen bæver,
Den måe til sit Natteherberg tye.

Fjerne Fos i Klipperivten suser;
Havets Bølge huult mod Klinten bruser —
Faure Lys! så snart heniler Du!
Aftenmyggesværm på tynde Vinger
Summende hen over Marken svinger —
Faure Lys! vilt Du ej tøve nu?

Men Du daler, i din Bortgang smiler;
Bølgehæren trindt omkring Dig iler,
Bader dine lyse Hår med Lyst.
Gak da, Stjerne, til dit Sovekammer!
Sjelenes Lys i Ossian opflammer,
Fortids Minde røres i hans Bryst.a
