Trætter Dig Livets Strøm?
Language: Danish (Dansk)
„Trætter Dig Livets Strøm?
Vaagn da fra Døs og Drøm,
Hører Du Propperne knalde?
See, som velsignet Regn
Over en solbrændt Egn,
Perlende Dugdraaber falde.

Yndige Farvespil,
Modnende Sommer-Ild
Straaler fra svulmende Ranker;
Druernes Gud er stor,
Rigt i hans Tempel boer
Jubel og glimrende Tanker.

Drik, som Du skal og bør,
Klag, om Du kan og tør,
Saa over Jordlivets Trængsler;
Sorgen gaaer strax til Ro,
Hjertet sig vugger jo
Huldt i livsalige Længsler.

Ud fra sit stille Hjem
Strømmer saa Sangen frem,
Vaarfriske Blade og Blommer;
Hver en Stund klar og ny!
Ja, under Rankens Ly
Smiler en evig Skjærsommer!

Staa ei der stum, men tal:
Er i en Jammerdal
Saa dine Timer henfløine?
Her, hvor os vinker sødt
Himmelblaat, Rosenrødt —
Læber og tindrende Øine!”
