by Christian Richardt (1831 - 1892)

Decemberskov
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Som et Rov for Stormens Horde
Løvets Fylde sank i Støv;
men en Trylleskov vil vorde
af en Skov foruden Løv!

Disse golde Træ-Skeletter,
øde Grene, nøgne Skud,
fik i kolde, vaade Nætter
Sneens rene Juleskrud.

Ja som ret til Højtidsglæde
perlesvøbtes Skovens Hal;
med sit Net af Kviste spæde
Bøgen støbtes i Krystal.

Tusind Smaalys stille funkle
med en Ild som fjerne Blus,
tusind Blaalys fra det Dunkle
har et Spil som Sirius.

Hvem vil Skoven ikke friste,
som den flammer, skjøn at see:
Lys foroven, Rim paa Kviste,
sorte Stammer, Bund af Snee!

Iskrystallens sagte Svingen
midt i Freden Øret naaer;
det er Hallens Klokkeringen
for det hedengangne Aar.

Confirmed with Christian Richardt, Samlede Digte, Gyldendalske Boghandels Forlag, Kbh., 1895, 1. del, pages 333–334.
