by (Carl Friedrich) Julius Altmann (1814 - 1873)

Des Abends
Language: German (Deutsch)
Tiefrot der Himmel,
die Luft so labend,
so mild der Abend,
so lenzesschön;
noch eine Lerche
schwebt über Triften,
nun aus den Lüften
sinket auch sie.

So sanft, so friedlich,
die Welt so schweigend,
die Seele neigend
sich still vor Gott;
und nennen Worte
nicht mein Entzücken,
zum Himmel blicken
ist beten auch.
