Wiederfinden
Language: German (Deutsch)
Einmal war ich schon geboren,
Und der Himmel war mein Land,
Engel waren meine Brüder,
[Heilige mir anverwandt.]1

Da [verstieß]2 ein harter Spruch mich
[Nieder]3 in die Erdennacht,
[Und ich hab' vom Himmel Schmerzen
Heißer Sehnsucht nur gebracht]4.

Doch - da sah ich Dir in's Auge,
Stand entzückt und fest gebannt; -
Weil ich [ja in Deinen Augen]5
Meinen Himmel wiederfand!
