About the headline (FAQ)
Confirmed with Briefwechsel zwischen Hermann Kurz und Eduard Mörike, herausgegeben von Jakob Baechtol, Stuttgart, Druck und Verlag von Gebrüder Kröner, 1885, page 95. The fragment appears in a letter from Mörike to Kurz, preceded by "Gestern Abend sangen zwei Mädchen:" (Yesterday evening two girls sang:" and it appears to be a folk text that has many variants, with the phrases "muß man klopfen", "muß man schonen", and "wie die Citeronen/Citronen/Zitronen" remaining unchanged except in spelling.
