Celle qui ne rit pas
Language: French (Français)
Heureuses pastourelles,
Oui cherchez, sous l'ormeau,
Des lits de fleurs nouvelles
Et la fraîcheur de l'eau,
Par vos danses légères,
Appelez-vous mes pas ?
Faites rire, bergères,
Celle qui ne rit pas.

Ruisseaux, où mes compagnes
Brûlent de se revoir,
Coulez de nos montagnes,
Rendez-leur un miroir :
Votre onde qui soupire,
Attirera mes pas ;
Ruisseaux, faites sourire
Celle qui ne rit pas.

Comme les hirondelles,
J'ai chanté le printemps ;
Mais je n'aurai point d'ailes,
Quand fuira le beau temps...
Ah ! si ma douce aurore
Revenait sur ses pas,
Elle rirait encore,
Celle qui ne rit pas !
