from Volkslieder (Folksongs)

Oberschwäbisches Tanzliedchen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Rosestock, Holderblüt',
Wenn i mei Dienderl sieh,
Lacht mer vor lauter Freud'
'sHerzel im Leib.

G'sichterl wie Milch und Blut,
'sDienderl ist gar so gut,
Um und um dokkerlnett,
Wenn i's no hätt!

Armerl so kugelrund,
Lippe so frisch und g'sund,
Füsserl so hurtig g'schwind,
'stanzt wie der Wind.

Wenn i in's dunkelblau
Funkelnd hell Augerl schau,
Mein i, i schau in mei
Himmelreich 'nei

So kann i's nimmer 'rtrag'n,
Muß i's dem Pfarrer sag'n.
So halt i's nimmer aus;
Führ's mir na Haus.
