by (Stephanie) Hélène Swarth (1859 - 1941)

O liefste met uw godenlach
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
O Liefste met uw godenlach,
Dien 'k aan mijn hart gebogen zag,
Dien blauwe’ en gouden zomerdag,
Vol geur van blanke bloemen!
O Lief die leven schiep uit dood!
O Gever van mijn liefdebrood!
Genezer van mijn zielenood!
Hoe zal mijn dank u noemen?

O gij die wilt mijn Alles zijn
En koestren 't moede harte mijn
In engelarmen warm en rein,
Wat zal mijn dank u geven?
- De rozen van mijn vroolijkhcid,
De leeljen van mijn droomentijd,
De palmen van mijn vrome vlijt,
De lauwer van mijn leven.

Confirmed with Hélène Swarth, Blanke duiven P.N. van Kampen & Zoon, Amsterdam z.j. [1895] p.47
