by Thekla Lingen (1866 - 1931)

Hinaus
Language: German (Deutsch)
Der Kopf ist so toll
Und das Herz ist so voll,
Von süssen Dingen so schwer!
Bin ganz ohne Ziel
Und will doch so viel --
Und Philister sind rings umher.

Doch einst kommt der Tag,
An dem ich euch schlag',
Philister, mit meinem Lied,
Das siegend und frei
Mit jubelndem Schrei
Hin über die Köpfe euch zieht.

Dann halt' ich nicht still
Und sag', was ich will, --
Dann winkt es so gross und schön!
Dann folg' ich hinaus
Mit Singen und Saus,
Das Leben, das Leben zu sehn!

Confirmed with Thekla Lingen, Am Scheidewege, Verlegt bei Schuster & Loeffler, Berlin und Leipzig, 1898, page 7.
