by Joannes Reddingius (1873 - 1944)

Lentelucht en zonneglans
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
Lentelucht en zonneglans,
kindertjes, die spelen,
vogeltjes, die zingend zijn,
vogeltjes, die kweelen,

Vogeltjes, die overluid
sjilpen en herhalen,
wie toch weet den zin er van,
wie toch kent hun talen?

Blauwe lucht en glansgesprei,
louterend behagen,
zou mijn hart in overmoed
weer te zingen wagen?

Kindervolk en vogelvolk,
lentelicht verblijden,
'k groet met lachjes, ongezien,
u zoo tusschenbeiden.
