In Saat und Ästen träumt es noch, 
Die Lerche schlummert in der Flur,
Noch singt sie nicht, sie dichtet nur.

Das ist, o Seele, Deine Zeit
Nun tu Dich auf und mach Dich weit, 
Daß, wenn der Tag Dich überfällt,
Du schon umschlossen Deine Welt.

Confirmed with Aus frischer Luft. Gedichte von J.G. Fischer, Zweite unveränderte Auflage, Stuttgart: Verlag von Carl Grüniger, 1873, page 6. Note: in many older editions, the spelling of the word "Ästen" becomes "Aesten", but as can be seen in how "über" becomes "Ueber" when capitalized, this is due to the printing process and not to rules of orthography, so we use "Ästen".
