Piangete, donne, e con voi pianga 
Amore poi che non piange lui, che m’ha ferita
sì, che l’alma farà tosto partita
da questo corpo tormentato fuore.
E, se mai da pietoso e gentil core 
l’estrema voce altrui fu esaudita, 
dapoi ch’io sarò morta e sepelita, 
scrivete la cagion del mio dolore: 

“Per amar molto ed esser poco amata 
visse e morì infelice, ed or qui giace
la più fidel amante che sia stata.
Pregale, viator, riposo e pace,
ed impara da lei, sì mal trattata,
a non seguir un cor crudo e fugace”.
