Questa vertù d'amor che m’ a disfacto,
Da' vostr’ occhi gentil presta si mosse; 
Un dardo mi gitto dentro dal fianco ; 
Si giunse ritto ‘l colpo al primo tracto, 
Che l'anima tremando si riscosse, 
Veggendo morto ‘l cor nel lato manco.
