by Rainer Maria Rilke (1875 - 1926)

Wenn’s Frühling wird
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die ersten Keime sind, die zarten,
im goldnen Schimmer aufgesprossen ;
schon sind die ersten der Karossen
                                                               im Baumgarten.

Die Wandervögel wieder scharten
zusamm sich an der alten Stelle,
und bald stimmt ein auch die Kapelle
                                                               im Baumgarten.

Der Lenzwind plauscht in neuen Arten
die alten, wundersamen Märchen,
und draußen träumt das erste Pärchen
                                                               im Baumgarten.

Confirmed with Rainer Maria Rilke, Gedichte, Leipzig: Insel-verlag, 1927, p.51
