Els llums s’han apagat, la nit entra a la casa; els lluminosos fantasmes diürns empal·lideixen i marxen. Lluny és la copa que m’oferia l’oblit; els meus cabells són grisos, i tots els qui estimava són morts. M’embolcallo en la porpra i esguardo damunt el meu reialme.
