Horch, horch, der Abendglocke Ton! Im Nachen kniet der Schiffer schon, Ave Maria! Durch's Spätrot hallt so weit und breit: Gegrüsset seist du, o reine Maid! Ave Maria! Die Sonne sinkt, die Glocke klingt. Sanft schwebt der Klang das Tal entlang. Ave Maria! Die Stund' ist dein, o Jungfrau rein: Neig' dich uns mild, o heilig Bild! Ave Maria!
