I enslighet försvinner mina år.
Jag rör min eld och pjollrar med min hund.
Jag saknar ej den dag, som gick igår,
men denna långt försvunna stund,
då samma tjänare, som krökt och grå
bär in min kvällsvard, gosse var
och jag ej född, och mor och far
i gräset lekte än som små.
