Zu Dir nun rufen wir wie verwiesene Kinder Evens.
Zu Dir, Arme seufzen so trauernd und weinend
In diesem Thal der Thränen.
Drum wende Du, unsre Fürsprechein bei Gott,
Deine Augen mitleidig zu uns herab,
Zu uns nach diesem Leben;
Und zeige dann uns Jesum, die gebenedeite
Die Frucht Deines Leibes,
O güt'ge, o süße Jungfrau Maria!

Hail! Thou my Queen! Mother of mercy,
Comfort in our life, oh Mother, our hope[,] hail!
We call to Thee now like the expelled children of Eve.
To Thee, the poor sigh, sorrowing and weeping,
In this vale of tears.
Therefore, turn Thou, our intercessor before God,
Thy eyes pityingly down to us,
[Down] to us after this life;
And show us then Jesus, the blessed
Fruit of Thy body.
Oh benevolent, oh sweet Virgin Mary!
