Die Rose
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Rose blüht, der Liebe süße Blume,
sie blickt mich an voll stiller Zärtlichkeit,
ihr ist mein Herz, mein ganzes Herz geweiht;
und schüchtern nah ich ihrem Heiligthume;
denn wonnevoll bebt mein Gemüth,
wenn meine Rose, wenn meine Rose blüht.

Die Rose blüht, des Frühlings laue Lüfte
wehn auf der schönen, buntgestickten Flur,
und heiße Liebe athmet die Natur,
der Zephyr spielt um ihrer Kelche Düfte;
im Wald ertönt der Vögel Lied:
die sanfte Rose, die sanfte Rose blüht.

Die Rose blüht. Sie hebt die Purpurkrone
mit Jugendglanz durch Dunkelgrün empor;
ihr huldiget der ganze Blumenflor,
der Königin auf ihrem stolzen Throne;
mein unaussprechlich Sehnen zieht,
mein Sehnen zieht zur Rose, die mir blüht.
