Gottes Gedanke
Language: German (Deutsch)
Mir ist ein Wort so innig
gefallen in meinen Sinn,
dass ich ein ew'ger Gedanke
Gottes des Ewigen bin.
Nach dem, der mich gedacht hat,
zieht es mich allzeit hin.

So will ich denn nicht and'res
als sein Gedanke sein,
so will ich denn nichts denken
als Ihn so ganz allein;
kein and'res Wähnen und Sehnen
komm' mir ins Herz hinein.

Was er begonnen, will ich
ausdenken bis zum Schluss,
nicht ängstlich will ich hemmen
meines Herzens tiefsten Erguss;
so weiß ich, dass ich sicher
zum Ziele kommen muss.
