Frühlingswanderung
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Übers Feld bin ich gegangen,
Wo die tausend Blumen stehn,
Spielend sich die Winde haschen,
Bienen goldnen Honig naschen
Und die jungen Blütenreiser
Grüssend hin und wieder wehn.

Ach, was für ein selig Wandern
War's in Duft und Sonnenschein,
Da kein Laut der Welt mich störte,
Da ich ganz mir selbst gehörte,
Und des Frühlings helle Stimme
Klang in meinen Schritt hinein!

Confirmed with Die Gartenlaube. Illustriertes Familienblatt, Halbheft 8. (1903), page 201.
