by Friedrich Heinrich Oser (1820 - 1891)

Winterabend
Language: German (Deutsch)
  Purpurwölkchen blicken nieder
Lächelnd auf's verschneite Feld,
Als erklängen Frühlingslieder
Aus den blauen Lüften wieder,
Zu erfreun die weite Welt.

  Und die Flur fängt an zu glühen
Und erwacht aus starrem Tod,
Und der Wald fängt an zu sprühen,
Und der nackte Strauch zu blühen
Und trägt Rosen, brennend roth.

  Ja! wem blüht ein Frühling droben
Fort und fort, weiß Nichts von Leid;
Segen fließt ihm zu von oben,
Daß er Gott den Herrn muß loben
Frendenvoll zu jeder Zeit.
