by Wincenty Pol (1807 - 1872)

Chociaż to życie
Language: Polish (Polski)
Chociaż to życie,
Idzie jak po grudzie,
Jak mi Bóg miły,
Nieźli są ludzie.
Ten temu swat,
Ten temu brat,
A już dobremu, to każdy rad.

Wolę ja, wolę,
Żyć w małem kole,
Gdzie wszystko własne,
Choć niby ciasne.
Ten temu swat,
Ten temu brat,
A każdy kącik, to cały świat.

Co w świecie zziębło,
Co ordzewieje,
Tam się odświeża,
Tam się rozgrzeje.
Bo ten mi swat,
Bo ten mi brat,
Życie jak młodość, serce jak kwiat.

A gdy znów człowiek
Siły nabierze,
I w świat się rzuca,
To w dobrej wierze,
Każdy mu swat,
Każdy mu brat,
I wszystek Boży jest jego świat.
