Darf dich keine Heimat binden?

Chorus: Hark, wild storms are raging, Dark weather is coming. Child, what misstep leaves you still outside, Crossing thorn and stone with terror, Running quickly through the wood? Don’t you wish your mother to find you? Don’t you have any bond at home? Little princess, so delicate and small, Ah, you are indeed entirely alone! Snow White: Lightning flashes, don’t spark so fiery red, Lest I, poor child, be scared to death! Storms, don’t race along so wildly, Making the path too difficult for me! Woodland animals, do not capture me, For I have done nothing to harm you! I am so afraid. Oh, come help quickly, You angels of heaven, this poor child! Chorus: Hark, the elements are thundering Through the deepest parts of the forest, And now the wild ones charm and woo The child, who was tossed aside By a wicked mother’s mouth. With dear, little poor ones The animals will take mercy instead. Wander peacefully through the night: The Lord God watches faithfully.
