It’s raining and raining and raining, Ceaselessly, without end, without stop, From sky to earth, from sky to earth, Sheets of raindrops splash and spatter. Through the sound of the rain, to my ear, A mysterious murmuring penetrates, I listen while dreaming, I want to understand What the airy voice is saying. There is a kind of longing in the voice, Which can only be heard in the memory… And the strangest feelings, both sad and glad, Pound bewilderingly on the heart within me. Were clouds, often present, that have passed Given life once more within my memory, Or am I dreaming about the sun, hidden by clouds, That will soon reappear? I don’t want to explore this mysterious feeling, I only wish to dream, to relish, to breathe; I sense something fresh, the freshness beckons me, My heart pulls me toward the freshness.
