Der Liebe himmliches Gefühl
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  DUT FRE
Der Liebe himmlisches Gefühl
Ist nicht an unsre Macht gebunden.
Ein einz'ger Blick entscheidet viel,
Noch hat mein Herz ihn nicht gefunden;
Ich wart', ich wart' mit Zuversicht.

Wenn die Natur mich lieben heisst,
Wird dieses Herz schon selbst empfinden.
Umsonst beschäftig sich mein Geist,
Nur sie kann Herzen wohl verbinden,
Nur sie, die Klugheit kann es nicht.

Le sentiment divin de l'amour
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Le sentiment divin de l'amour
n'est pas soumis à notre pouvoir.
Un seul regard décide beaucoup
pourtant mon cœur ne l'a pas trouvé ;
J'attends, j'attends avec confiance.

Quand la Nature m'ordonnera d'aimer
mon cœur de lui-même le sentira.
En vain mon esprit s'évertue,
elle seule peut réunir deux cœurs,
elle seule, l'intelligence ne le peut pas.
