Klänge und Schmerzen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schmerzen, die dich süß bedrängen,
  Die sich selber kaum versteh'n,
Läßt dein Herz in süßen Klängen
  In des Abends Lüfte weh'n.

Und sie schweben hin und wieder,
  Schweben tönend her und hin,
Lassen in mein Herz sich nieder,
  Ruh'n und wohnen still darin.

So sind mein nun deine Klänge,
Mein dein Sehnen und dein Schmerz:
Dich befreiten die Gesänge,
  Mir zerreißen sie das Herz!
