Hier hat sie getanzt und dort gesungen,
Tief mit ihrem Blick mich hier durchdrungen.
Wie die Grazie gelacht.
Dort erblickt' ich sie in [Sammt]1 und Seide,
Hier im häuslichen, nachläß'gen Kleide,
Schöner, als in aller Pracht.

Hier sprach sie, von feinem Witz beseelet,
Dort hat sie mein zärtlich Herz gequälet,
Voll von stolzem Eigensinn.
Hier sah ich das spröde Mädchen wanken --
Ach! in diesem Taumel der Gedanken
Bring' ich meine Tage hin!
