Blümleins Traum
Language: German (Deutsch)
Es stand einst ein Blümlein
Am rieselnden Bach
Und schaute dem Treiben
Der Menschen wohl nach;
Es dachte: so glücklich
Wie sie auch zu sein,
Und schlief dann voll Sehnen
Beim Abendroth ein.

Da hat ihm geträumet,
Ein Menschlein es wär',
Es mischte sich freudig
Dem wogenden Heer,
Und wollte vertraulich,
In Liebe so zart,
Sich neigen zu ihnen
Nach Blümlein's Art.

Da ward ihm im Herzen
So schaurig, und kalt,
In Schmerzen und Thränen
Erwachte es bald
Und grüßte so selig
Den Himmel, den Hain;
Wollt' nimmer, ach nimmer
Ein Mensch wieder sein! --
