No hastar alle heim til fredsœl kvila, og vidt um Verdi er det Smil og Kvisk ring av unge, fegne Par, som sœle femnest, og Hjarta slœr mot Hjarta sött i Elskhug.

Sonnenuntergang

Nun sinkt die Sonne hinter das Gebirge, im Laube spielen ihre letzten Strahlen. So friedlich steigt der Rauch empor vom Hause, des Lebenswirres Echo kam zum Schweigen. Es nimmt der Berg des Abends blauen Mantel, die Nachtluft schmeichelt lind um Stirn und Wangen. Nun eilen alle heim zu Rast und Frieden, es geht durch alle Welt ein heimlich Flüstern, ein stilles Lächeln, seliges Umfangen und liebeklopfend neigt sich Herz zu Herzen.
